Stephanie is stunned when Eric reveals that his brother sent Jessica to stay with them because his marriage is on the rocks and he is on the verge on bankruptcy. Eric adds that his brother would like him to take temporary guardianship of Jessica. Ridge tells Brooke that he wants to marry her and shows her the engagement ring he brought. James tells Connor he is not worried about Brooke and Ridge's dinner together.
