Jim prepares for Dot's return. She tries to be strong throughout the interview with the police, but cracks during lunch with her family. Ian wins money from Phil, sparking another feud between them. Phil winds up Sam prompting her to accept a job with Ian. Paul gives up smoking for Eleanor's sake. Sharon finds out that Dennis is in prison for GBH. Spencer's latest business deal is selling tins, however he's devastated when he finds the tins are all unlabelled.
