Overview

Back in the days of the ancient Egyptians, Cairo was a major attraction and Egypt's capital remains so today. Tom finds out what it's like to live in one of the largest cities in Africa and by far the largest in the Middle East. Because in recent years, with more than 22 million inhabitants, the Cairo metropolis is in danger of completely bursting at the seams. A "new Cairo," 45 kilometers from the current city, is therefore in the making.
